The Amhara Association in Raleigh and Surrounding Areas is a nonprofit organization established to advocate for the Amhara community in Ethiopia. Founded to meet the requirements of North Carolina state, our association is committed to raising awareness, promoting human rights, and providing a unified voice for the Amhara people both locally and globally. Our mission is to foster solidarity, organize educational initiatives, and work collaboratively with other organizations to support and uplift the Amhara community.
Our efforts are structured in multiple phases, each aimed at strengthening advocacy, building connections, and creating meaningful impact. We are dedicated to building an effective organizational and communication infrastructure to ensure our mission reaches as many people as possible.

Hosting international conferences to address the pressing issues facing the Amhara community and to promote collaborative solutions.

Engaging with North Carolina state officials to educate them on the challenges facing the Amhara people and seek their support.

Enhanced Advocacy on International Platforms
Elevating the Amhara plight on the global stage by presenting reports to international human rights bodies, such as the United Nations Human Rights Council.
